Nanotechnology (Glossary of Printed Electronic terms)

Technology related to features of nanometer scale: thin films, fine particles, chemical synthesis, advanced microlithography, and so on, many of which may be of use in printed electronics in the long term. A technology based on the ability to build structures to complex, atomic specifications by means of mechanosynthesis can be termed molecular nanotechnology. See Nanotubes. Nanoscale.
